The Bellagio Hotel
Las Vegas, NV
This photo was taken using a 1.3 Megapixel Sony Cybershot. The ISO was set at 200 and the exposure time was 1 second. Not bad for a little camera. The early Sony’s did not have a lot of megapixels compared to today’s cameras but they had very nice lenses. |

I Want It!
Downtown Disney Shops
Walt Disney World, FL
This photo was also taken using a Canon Powershot SD600. The ISO was set at 800 and the exposure time was 1 second. This was one of those moments where I was lucky enought to get the camera out and set before I lost the opportunity. To me, the reflection makes the shot and the lighting tells the story. |
Golden Gate
San Francisco, CA
This photo was also taken using a Canon Powershot SD450. The ISO was set at 100 with minimal exposure on this sunny blue-sky day. I was in a moving car at the time with the sunroof open. Totally a lucky shot. |
Main Street Ice Cream
Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney World, FL
This photo was also taken using a Canon Powershot SD600. The ISO was set at 800 and the exposure time was 1 second. This is more of an abstract photo and the real emotion in this photo is in the words “Ice Cream.” |
Main Street USA Christmas
Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney World, FL
This photo was taken using a Canon Powershot SD600. The ISO was set at 50 and the exposure time was 3 seconds.Using a low ISO and a very slow shutter makes the colors pop and the lights glow in this photo. The blurs of motion of the people make the peoplke stading still really stand out. Especially the guy on the phone…DUDE!, your are at Disney! Get off the phone and enjoy it! |
Cinderella Castle Christmas
Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney World, FL
This photo was also taken using a Canon Powershot SD600. The ISO was set at 50 and the exposure time was 3 seconds. The reason the castle is the only super overexposed element here is the fact that it had thousands of christmas lights covering its entire surface. When I took the photo, the sky was black to my eye. The rock in the photo is located by the bridge to Tomorrowland and was used as the mounting lcoation for the three second exposure. |
Las Vegas North Strip
Las Vegas, NV
This photo was taken using a 1.3 Megapixel Sony Cybershot. The ISO was set at 200 and the exposure time was 1 second. The photo was taken from a room in New York, New York Hotel that had a stellar view of the strip. |
DSP Circuit
My Basement
This photo was taken using a 1.3 Megapixel Sony Cybershot. The ISO was set at 200 and the exposure time was 1/8 second. The board is an application development board for the Analog Devices 21061 Digital Signal processor. I happened to be holding it in front of a lamp to follow some circuit traces and thought it looked interesting and took a photo as I held it. |
Spaceship Earth
EPCOT
Walt Disney World, FL
This photo was taken using a Canon Powershot SD600. The ISO was set at 800 and the exposure time was around 1 second (I used auto exposure here).I took this photo by pointing the camera almost straight up on a seating bench and triggering the shutter. I seldom use a tripod and like to find objects around me to act as a mount for the camera. |
Paris Hotel
Las Vegas, NV
This photo was also taken using a Canon Powershot SD600. The ISO was set at 800 and the exposure time was 1 second.I took this picture from the valet area of the Bellagio across the fountain. |
Boom!
EPCOT IllumiNations Fireworks
Walt Disney World, FL
This photo was taken using a Canon Powershot SD600. The ISO was set at 800 and the exposure time was set for auto.I love taking photos of fireworks. If I am lucky, 1% of them turn out good. This one is not the best but it has a really fun color quality and I liked. |
Boom Part 2!
EPCOT IllumiNations Fireworks
Walt Disney World, FL
This photo was taken using a Canon Powershot SD600. The ISO was set at 800 and the exposure time was set for auto.Yet another photo of fireworks. I must have taken 200 photos of fireworks at Disney. This is not the best looking fireworks of the “Wishes” show at Magic Kingdom, but this photo is my best so far. I keep trying! |

Fowler Theater
Fowler, IN
This photo was taken at night using several long exposure settings. Final image was produced using HDR processing software combining all the different exposures and then tonemapping the final HDR image. However this shows what you can do with tonemapping if you take it to an extreme. Here we have on version that looks old and dilapidated, and the other looks cartoonish. |
